- When I first saw the Siamese breed I was taken by their grace and exotic beauty. A childhood friend had a pair of Siamese cats and they were my first introduction to the breed. I grew up around these cats and enjoyed countless childhood hours in their company. Through them, I gained a real appreciation for the intelligence and sense of fun that are characteristic of all the oriental breeds. The Balinese, the Oriental Short Hair and the Oriental Long Hair all share those same endearing purrsonality traits of the Siamese. They all make lively, inter-active pets. I have had the good fortune to share my life with more than a few special cats over the years, but have yet to meet another breed yet that has stolen my heart so completely as the Orientals.
