Sypris Data Systems specializes in the research, development and manufacture of high-performance telemetry technologies for data acquisition, storage and information dissemination.
We offer an extensive line of high-speed digital and analog products using solid state, disk, rotary and longitudinal technologies. Such products are used in high-technology industries and government-related markets for airborne, range telemetry, intelligence and test/measurement applications.
Our roots go back to the 1950s as divisions of Honeywell and Bell and Howell. We evolved into Metrum and Datatape. In 1997, we merged to become Metrum-Datatape, a subsidiary of Group Financial Partners. More recently, Group Financial Partners changed its name to Sypris and restructured all subsidiaries under the corporate banner. Now we are part of the Sypris family of companies and operate as Sypris Data Systems. During our sixty-year history, Sypris Data Systems products have played a critical role in data acquisition for aircraft, spacecraft, satellite, shipboard, commercial and geological applications.
