Description

Excerpted from the website:

About Dave Frost - A potted history of Dave Frost
I wasn't sure whether a complete and potted history of me from birth to today would be a good thing to do for this, I mean, how interesting is it when some egotistical bell end insists on giving you all the information you never needed but weren't that interested in knowing anyway? Then I thought to myself, "Well, they clicked on the About Dave Frost link, so someone somewhere is a bit interested" ! - I finally decided to give you the following, the rest you can pick up for yourself by reading the Blog, Diaqries or whatever the currently trendy adjective is this week. Right, then... Last time I checked I was, and believe I still am nearly 39 years of age. I lost most of my hair some time ago and whilst I've been vainly trying to convince myself I'm big boned, I am slowly beginning to realise that I'm middle aged now and beginning to spread in all the wrong directions. That's about as paranoid as i get, and I'm even man enough to admit that my occasional obsessions such as the Triumph Spitfire are largely down to a series of mini mid life crisis...... I'm currently a resident of the wonderful patch of reclaimed Marsh that the Romans initially populated to obtain Salt. Thanks to the Dutch (boy they're good at Dykes and Dams) what is now known as Canvey Island remains fairly dry, despite being several metres below mean sea level and is home to literally thousands of people after around 7pm every day. I've always been an Essex boy. Spending my formative years in Ilford, followed closely by Romford, then Grays and Cranham before settling (as the romans once did) on Canvey. I say settling, but of course it's subjective. The grand retirement plan is to wait until the kids all leave home, sell everything, buy a Camper Van and just disappear. Whilst this is unlikely for many reasons, it'd be quite pleasant. I am, contrary to popular belief, educated (at least to GCSE O Level- That's GCSE, not GCE or whatever passes for an exam these days) at Ilford County High Grammar School for boys. Whilst this means I can read, I'm not convinced that it actually means I can type, so be warned that there are and will continue to be multiple typographical errors throughout the entire site. If you do bother with any return visits, you may notice that the updates here are sporadic. This'd be because I have a job, and a life, and these sometimes take up more time that you would expect. If there's anything else you need to know then please feel free to drop me a line and I'll do my best to assist. However you may be offended by my response if it was a silly request in the first place. As always, thanks for visiting, and you're welcome to come back again, and before I forget, my hobbies include Fishing and my family, and I dream of world peace........

Discussion

Not a bad "from scratch" blog, incorporated into what appears to be a semi dynamic site layout covering pretty much everything that this guy flits to or from, over the last 12 months or so. Not likely to win any design awards, but it seems to be an honest attempt at design without any of the bells and whistles ready made packages available. Content isn't great, and it looks almost like he got bored with the photo albums before they really got going. Diary entries on the whole are mildly amusing in a cynical kind of way, but otherwise un-memorable.

I will be re-visiting to check for updates but wouldn't recommend that you visit every day as there don't seem to be that many updates.
