Description
By profession, I am a .Net Architect for Tek Systems. in the Baltimore - Washington metropolitan area. I design and develop software applications in Microsoft .NET and J2EE (Java). As a Software Architect for Tek Systems, I advise clients on design and architecture issues and provide assistance to project teams. I also get my hands dirty, so to speak, quite often by providing direct assistance with design and coding.
I design and code in both .NET and J2EE but my passion is .NET. My style and mindset is such that I tend to concentrate on the goal of a software project, that is, the business benefit the project provides. That might be increased revenue, increased efficiency, decreased workload or many other non-technical benefits. Because I am so results-oriented, I lean toward high-productivity tools and environments such as VS.NET and C#.
Dave Ranck is a .NetArchitect at Tek Systems in the Baltimore, MD area. He has designed and built award-winning Web-based applications in both Microsoft and Java technologies. Dave regularly speaks at seminars and events on topics relating to Web Services, .NET and J2EE. He has authored several whitepapers such as "J2EE and .NET, a Comparison."
