Description
I am a sole trader operating a business in my spare time. Everything started off from a hobby which was initially restoring some valve ship radio room equipment (circa 1950s) back into operation in 1983 whilst I was still at school! The service manuals back then were extremely well written and a first class education too. My radio interests took me onto CB (Citizen Band) where I gained a reputation for fixing CB radios and other related items. Word-of-mouth travelled quickly and soon I started trading as Davidson Electronics, turning my attention to everything electronic that would fit on my workbench.
The business has grown dramatically thanks to my valued customers. Over the years my priority has been to invest in advanced test and soldering equipment with the long term view of being ready for whatever technology may land on the workbench. Specialised test equipment of a sophistication not often found in repair workshops is used for PCB / control module repairs.
On average around 700 items a year are repaired for the general public and trade customers. Nearly all my work to date has come via word-of-mouth and this website is the only advertisement of my services.
