About Us -- We are husband and wife NASCAR racing fans who reside in the Daytona Beach area. We both love Winston Cup racing, though our taste in drivers differs greatly...he is a Dale Earnhardt fan and I root for Jeff Burton! We attend the Twin 125 races every year but prefer to stay home for the Daytona 500 (too much traffic!).
I grew up with racing and attended stock car races at Barberville (local dirt track) every weekend with my parents. My Dad was the chief mechanic for Carl Tyler's purple 9/16. My mom often did the detail work painting names of the sponsors on the car and placing the decals each time the car was wrecked and had to have a new paint job! My siblings and I spent many a night in the garage on Campbell street while my parents, Carl, and his wife worked on the car.
At about age 13, I became a Darrell Waltrip fan and have followed his career ever since. He has such a great personality and was an awesome race car driver too!
