Ghost Train: by The Swanks On sites such as Answers.Com I have found wrong information being listed about a song,"Ghost Train" recorded by the Swanks in 1964 on Charm Records. After contacting them they have told me that the information was taken from DeadDog.com. I am writing to correct your listings. Their list referred to an album out of Canada ,"Wild Rock and Roll Instrumentals" on which is Ghost Train by the Swanks.
First, we have had a lot of problems with small record labols using this song without permission, and no permission was given to any company in Canada. The listing taken from DeadDog.com, also shows the song writers as Rickie Lee Jones, and A. Reveller. The song writers of this song were John (Jack) Revelle, Leon O.(Otha)Libby and Robert (Bob) Jones. The song has been listed with Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI)(New York City) since 1966 and a check of their Web site will show the above group as the song writers. "Ghost Train" by the Swanks was recorded in 1964, though many lists have it as being recorded in the 50s.
