Hampshire Deaf Association
Description
To promote the rights of deaf people to the same oportunites, the same access and the same independence as hearing people
Founded by Sir Arthur Fairbairn in 1879 as a “mission for deaf people”, the Hampshire Deaf Association has grown to be the principal source of deaf information, services and advocacy for Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.
Today, we employ over 40 people and support over 5000 deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people every year. Our constant, practical support, help and services have made a real difference to the lives of thousands of people.
