Welcome to Dello Russo Funeral Service, Medford, MA

Dello Russo Funeral Service of Medford has it's origins in Boston's historic North End in the late 1920's. On the eve of the Great Depression, Frederick Dello Russo opened for business with a store front office at 28 ½ Prince Street, Boston.
Known as "the kid" by his colleagues because of his youthful presence in such a grave business, Fred quickly developed a reputation for kind, and trustworthy service. As his business grew he moved to more spacious quarters at 25 Prince Street. This new location provided a funeral parlor to accommodate the growing demand to accommodate funeral services in a specialized professional space.
The years before and after World War II, saw many Northenders move out of the city to Somerville and Medford. In 1950, Fred, who had been joined in business by his brother Arthur, purchased the Linnehan Funeral Home at 357 Main Street in Medford to accommodate the many Medford residents who requested their services. In March of 1952 the Dello Russo brothers opened a new funeral home at 306 Main Street. It was hailed as Middlesex County's most spacious and modern funeral facility. The firm was then incorporated as Dello Russo Funeral Service.
