About Denim Junkies
Denim Junkies is the first online store in Europe to specialize in genuine vintage American clothing from the 1940's, 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. We feature the classic jeans and denim jean jackets made from the old indigo ringspun denim made on narrow shuttle looms, often used with the selvage (selvedge) showing on the inner edges. These old jeans and denim jackets often have unique fading patterns known as hige (heegay), tiger stripes or whiskers.
The jeans we feature are all the classic five pocket style western cut, mainly Levis 501XX, 501ZXX, 501, 505, 502 and 517 boot cut often with the big E (capital E) in Levi's on the red tab and red lines (redline) in the selvage (selvedge) also known as akamimi. We also have the old Lee 101 and 101Z and Blue Bell Wrangler jeans from time to time.
