Free Counselling
The Counselling Service at depressionServices provides free counselling utilising online technologies to people residing in Australia who are impacted by depression. The Counselling Service is for clients who have depression who are committed to work with a Counsellor on managing depression and how it impacts on their daily living. The Counselling Service at depressionServices is comprised of qualified psychologists and counsellors, as well as a team of volunteers and students on placement; together supporting clients with depression.
Peer Support
Peer Support is a group process whereby people who share a common issue are provided the chance to help each other in a targeted effort to discuss this topic. The key ethos of peer support is that people both provide, and receive support from likeminded peers who have similar experiences in life. The key difference to other similar services is how we facilitate Peer Support to fit into an Internet service model – providing greater scope for people all across Australia to engage with support from their peers. Peer Support Service at depressionServices is a facilitated and moderated service that supports and encourages clients to discuss their experiences of mild to moderate depression with others.
