- For some reason the conference wireless didn’t agree with my laptop in either Ubuntu or OS X, so I didn’t get a chance to update my laptop count. On Friday I spotted another 5 linux running machines , AFAICT all running Ubuntu, one at least running XGL/AIGLX. Why the lucky stiff gave a fantastic presentation on his Xubuntu running laptop (or at least that is what it looked like). I think that probably puts Linux ahead of Windows but still way behind OS X as the prefered supplier of Desktop Hapiness to Rails developers.
