In 1993 Tom DiNardo founded DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers. Since its founding, DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers has achieved an outstanding reputation for fundraising innovation, record setting charity auction revenues (5 world records to his credit), and client satisfaction. DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers is currently ranked as one of the “Top 4 charity auction firms" in the nation. Tom DiNardo has appeared as a featured celebrity auctioneer on TLC's "Wrecks to Riches" television program. Mr. DiNardo is a regular contributor to WineSquire.com, AuctionZip.com, and GlobalAuctionGuide.com. He is a freelance writer for Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Santé and Wine Adventure magazines. Tom is a master appraiser (Master GPPA) registered with The Appraisal Foundation. He is credited as being the first auctioneer member to join the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). He is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) and the Society of Wine Educators (SWE).
Prior to entering into his chosen craft of auctioneering, Tom had worked in the wine industry in both California and Washington. A true entrepreneur and veteran charity auctioneer, Mr. DiNardo now had a unique opportunity to marry both his passion for benefit auctions and wine together in pioneering what is today one of the most exciting and newly emerging trends - charity wine auctions. Tom DiNardo is a sommelier diplomate with the International Sommelier Guild, and he is currently the only benefit auctioneer in the nation holding that credential. Tom is a featured contract auctioneer for Chicago based ERI wine auction gallery, where he has sold some of the rarest vintages and most impressive tasting wines from around the world. Mr. DiNardo has been referred to as "one of the nation’s preeminent charity wine auctioneers.” Through these unique experiences, Tom has gained tremendous expertise in wine. With a reverence for the grape, Tom continues his passionate pursuit today as a wine consultant and wine educator who teaches others about oenology and wine collecting.
