Ever since I can remember, music has been my life. My parents opened an entertainment-booking agency in 1964 when I was only 10-years old. My world growing up was always filled with the sounds, sensations and stories from afar from musicians, singers, jugglers, magicians, and comedians to, of course, exotic dancers. My father would take me on the road where I quickly learnt the ropes and experienced the captivating world of entertainment.
In 1980, I started on my own entertainment journey, taking on worldwide management of INXS. For the next 15 years, I traveled the world as this extraordinary band took each country by storm-one by one. Some of the most unforgettable moments when arriving in each new country was sharing their love affair with music - modern or traditional. There was nothing more exciting than discovering what each culture had to offer. After 15 years with INXS it was time to graduate to a new phase - my own musical venture. Petrol Records was born in 2001 with a mandate to create Seriously Good Music for those eager to start their own musical journey.
I am very proud as well as inspired by what Petrol has achieved in such a short time. We have received a fantastic reception around the globe. Petrol is more than just great music; our brand represents a lifestyle and a worldwide trend – to open our hearts and minds to international influences and global perspectives.
