About Disability Alliance
Disability Alliance (DA), publishers of the Disability Rights Handbook, is regarded as the leading authority on social security benefits for disabled people.
Disability Alliance was set up in 1974. Our principal aim is to improve the living standards of disabled people by breaking the link between poverty and disability. We achieve this through the various services we provide to disabled people, their families, carers and professional advisers about social security benefit entitlement and other entitlements. These services include the provision of advice, information, campaign work, research and training. We believe it is unacceptable that thousands of disabled people in the UK live in poverty and our aim is to ensure that they know about, and claim, their legal entitlement to benefit.
