- Avon Park (formerly Walker Memorial) Seventh-day Adventist Church is a 900+ member Church located in Central Florida. We are in the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Our church was established in the late 1940's in Walker Memorial Hospital and later met in what had been a casino by the lake. The current building was built in the 1970's.
