Distinctive Touches has been in existence since 1996. The business was birthed out of the vision of the owner/operator/crafter, Ella J Higginbotham. Ella is a New Jersey native who spent many years in Corporate America's banking system. She gave up the "comforts" of a good paying job to pursue her dream of creating beautiful works of art that express her creative nature.
All items sold by Distinctive Touches are hand-crafted and spiritually inspired by Ella. She began her business with hand-crafted African-American Christmas decorations and Christmas tree ornaments. Her business soon grew to include glass products featuring African-American art such as decorative candle holders, hurricane lamps, cup coasters and her biggest seller of all, decorative plates. Her work is a mystery to many as they try to figure out "how did you do that?" She has expanded her business to include personalized decorative plates. She can take any picture provided (electronic or paper) and place it in a plate that you will treasure forever. Special orders are not a problem and the quality assurance process is top notch.
