New Zealand breeders of traditionally docked breeds are ecstatic that a draft Code of Welfare due to be submitted to the New Zealand Minister of Agriculture for signing will include the provision for docking by Veterinarians and 'accredited dockers'. NZKC members present at the Annual Conference of Delegates have told Dog News Australia they were informed about the positive progress of the efforts of the NZKC and other groups to ensure that docking of dogs is able to continue in New Zealand.
