Thrifty?
Yes, because there’s no point in wasting what we work so hard to achieve, is there? But thrifty doesn’t mean cheap or penny-pinching — to me, it simply means taking a moment to distinguish between want and need.
Sometimes, thrift is about the pride of accomplishment, when a cleverly crafted casserole lets you feed a family (deliciously) for less than the price of a mocha-soy latte. And sometimes it means treating yourself to decadent bath oils, when you’re on the verge of tearing out your hair and running off to Bali with the kids’ education funds.
