Upon retirement from the business world in 1994, we decided to pursue our life long dream of having our own breeding horse farm. I became interested in Quarter Horse bloodlines and breeding approximately 12 years ago, and in 1996 thru 1998 we purchased 30 acres in the southern shoreline town of Niantic Connecticut, and preceded to build a new home, barn and clear land.
Double T Quarter Horses has a 17 stall barn, all broodmare stalls are 12x 24. With a 40x60 indoor arena. The arena is primarily used as an exercise area for mares during inclement weather and to train weanlings.
We purchased our first broodmare and preceded to purchase 50% ownership of Leaguers Last, standing him in Connecticut. In 2001 we purchased the other 50% thus now fully own this outstanding quarter horse stallion.
