Nancy’s class follows the Vinyasa style of yoga. In this style, breath and movement are synchronized inducing a fluidity that leads to a sense of focus and invigoration. Her yogic journey began about 10 years ago with a self-guided practice in the Sivananda style. Since then she has practiced several styles of yoga including Iyengar, Bikram, Power, Anusara, Kundalini, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa. With her formal training and certification based on the Iyengar style, Nancy imparts the structure of form and alignment along with her teaching of the Vinyasa style. Her teaching is also influenced by Ashtanga yoga, another style based on breath and movement. Nancy holds a 200- hour certification through YogaSpirit Studios and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with The Yoga Alliance. She continues her study of yoga with a personal practice of Ashtanga yoga, weekly classes in the Ashtanga/Vinyasa style, and by attending workshops with Master practitioners that have included Richard Freeman and Tias Little.
