After 15 minutes,, "Joe", has died, due to improper address signage, old phone equipment and a maze of cubicles and other hazards on the way up, EMS Staff just could not find him in time, it's no one's fault, it is just another part of the, "Human Equation", the old desire to believe that you will be always be able to deal with problems as they come about, we all do it to a point, but it happens so many times, at so many facilities and offices, that preparedness plans for major disaster or emergency, even just a small box of supplies and food or water can save lives, but, I guess it's a chore, STILL, according to a major Data Research Company, For 71% of the Corporate Decision Makers, Office Workers and High Executive Positions, considered it a more important to call building maintenance to fix a faulty electrical switch that would shock you when you turn the light on, or to fix the Coffee Maker that will not get hot enough ??? Not surprising though, the light switch, lost, to its biggest opponent in the workplace, Free Coffee!!!
    I explained what our Company does to my 10 year old son, he looked at me and honestly did not understand why the priorities of the average American business owner or corporate executive was so distorted, and yet it continues, every day. Does this mean my 10 year old son has better decision making skills and prioritizes better than the CEO, Safety Director, Stock Holders, Outside Human Resource or P/L Consultants that are paid millions yearly for brilliant decision making skills??? Increased margin of profit for the Corporation or Company Business??? Realistically, this situation was not just an example, this Company was involved in the Northridge, CA earthquake back in the 1990's, and, due to lack of planning, training and vital life saving supplies, suffered a complete structural collapse, killing 9 people, in which 7 people were their own clients that got trapped in the building, most died from Trauma wounds that, with training and supplies, would have been treatable and survivable under normal circumstances, and the 2 others, died from renal failure, or more simply, dehydration, NO WATER or FOOD !!! In the Aftermath, they were fined for small structural code infractions, but due to lack of Earthquake Insurance, they could not rebuild and with no place to even conduct business, with no employees, and with all their client moving their business elsewhere, of course this 30 year old Company, that, was worth $19 Million Dollars, 22 day ago, is now just an old phone number in an old phonebook. If they planned and established procedure and evacuation plans in the event of an earthquake. $250 Dollars could have been spent on Trauma Supplies, Emergency Water or Food Rations, less money than they paid the maid service for one week. If they had taken one of those days in the last 30 years and walked the building with a hired contractor, to check for code violations or needed retrofits, than just maybe for that one or two of days of work, out of 30 years, and the expense of less than $ 4,000.00 Dollars, this Company would still be conducting business and most likely have doubled in worth by now, not to mention, 9 people and destroyed families and unemployed workers could have been avoided. After Initial Employee Training and Needed Safety Devices are installed, Your Data is Backed Up and Security is Checked, A safety team will spend a day or so inspecting any hidden Structural Hazards. You’re Disaster Preparedness Plans and Evacuation Procedures are double checked to be working and flawless, show certain operations to key people and schedule additional training. We will go over a few other things and establish our initial contacts, of course you and whoever you appoint, these people will be able to make larger spending decisions, at your discretion. We would like to speak to all of your personnel and explain to them who we are and so forth, explain they will be undergoing training with us very soon, also at your discretion, you may train everyone in all classes we offer, maybe just a few key people in different things, or, at very least, we would like a minimum of 15 minutes with each, or, all at one time, to explain safety and how we work, how anybody can come to us to let us know that a safety device is not working right, or at all, as we will be the one's to care for all of the emergency equipment that we install, or that you appoint to us. We want all of your employees to understand that they are all part of the safety team, and the can call us anytime; we may even have a reward system for get all the employees involved, again, at your discretion.
    After this first month or so, you won't have to see us so much. We will come in and fix any problems that are reported to us immediately, otherwise we will come out to your facility to do a safety check and walk along. At this time you can relax and stop worrying...Any broken Devices we find will be repaired or replaces, other safety issues will be appointed also. W will check all of your First Aid or Trauma Kits and Emergency Disaster Supplies, we will replace any low or missing or used supplies, equipment, first aid and trauma items, all kits and supply containers, fire extinguisher boxes, etc will be re-security sealed and dated. You can make changes to your service at any time by calling us directly or when we come out. You will always have your own private Safety Manager, the same person every time you call or we come out, this is done to develop a relationship with your representative, and will be opt to let them know when you are either unsatisfied with something and to build a sense of trust with your safety manager. At this time you will be billed on a net 15 day service contract, it will be the same every month in addition of any extra training, services or repairs. First aid kits are refilled monthly and are included in the monthly rate, any other required replacement equipment or devises, including replacements or repairs will be extra.
