- Today’s blog was completely inspired. Yes, we are having our first snow day of the season. It's been a weird season when it comes to weather here in Kansas. It has been hot, hot, hot. Imagine Thanksgiving in shorts. Now, that may be normal for some of you living in the Southern part of the States, but here that's almost unheard of. Two days ago it was 70 degrees. Now it's snowing like crazy! Freezing in the morning, heat wave by noon, with a tornado on the side. That's life here in the Plains.
