Our Motivation
Throughout the years, I found the portrayals of women who love women, scarce as they were, annoyingly clichéd. At one point, I decided, rather than becoming a very cranky lesbian, I should put my energy to more creative use.
History
In September 2000, DykesVision (the German version) was launched. The English translation of the by then "10 Golden Rules" was published in August 2001.
Purpose
Our aim is to document, as well as comment on, the depiction of lesbians in the mass media, especially on tv and in the movies. We also view the website as an opportunity for lesbians (and other persons interested in the topic) to voice their opinions and share their critical or creative work.
