About me
I am lead software architect at Ning, Inc. (previously known as 24HL), a Palo Alto-based start-up working on a new consumer Internet service. I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science (in the area of self-organizing networks) from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. In early 2003, I co-founded clevercactus, ltd., which worked on multi-platform collaboration sofware until it closed its doors in late 2004/early 2005. I was previously a teaching assistant at TCD's Computer Science department.

I graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where I did research in the Software Engineering Research Group. I worked at Fuego Corp. before going to the US, then after graduation I was a Research Associate in the Personal Systems Group at IBM's TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York, and later at Mindstech International in Silicon Valley.
