- The e-textile toolbox has been developed in a project co-financed by the European Commissions EuropeAid ASI@ITC program. ASI@ITC aims at improving the co-operation between Asia and Europe in the identification and implementation of information-technology solutions. Leading European and Asian organisations in the field of eco-efficient production and the textile sector have put together their expertise to develop this innovative toolbox for efficient textile production. Organisations partnering in this project are: the Indian National Cleaner Production Centre, Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre, BECO Group and UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Energy and Environment (project management). An independent expert board representing local business, sectoral organisations and suppliers as well as retailers from world markets has been a key to the development of the toolbox.
