- About the Green Machine
- Edina Robotics FIRST Team 1816, The Green Machine, is the team of Edina High School (located in a southern suburb of Minneapolis, MN). Our approximately 35 students in grades 9-12 bring together their interests in math, science, engineering, computer programming, marketing, and media, to build a robot to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. Our team is still fairly young; 2006 was our rookie season, but we have experienced considerable success so far. In 2006, we won the “Highest Rookie Seed” award at the Championship Competition, while in 2007, we finished our season as a Division Finalist in the Newton Division at the Championship tournament.
