Jon Elkin started his goalie school in 1984 (at 16 years of age!) as a part-time venture in Montreal, Quebec where he grew up. Fifteen years ago, he moved to Toronto to operate the school on a full-time basis. Since then his school has grown into the largest goalie school in the world. It operates year-round seven days per week including ten straight weeks in the summer where students congregate from all over the world.
Great goaltending does not end with skill and technique though. These are only the basic foundations of a strong goalie. What separates great goalies from good goalies is mental toughness.
