In 1987 a nearby incinerator planned to dump its toxic ash into our local landfill. This event brought together many people... Eventually it was a victory for the people and the Battenkill River.
Four years later Earth Advocate Inc. began with a simple question: "Where can we buy products that won't degrade our environment or hurt our children."
In October of 1992 we moved our store to a better location. We are still here and we are growing. There are still just the three of us keeping our door open 6 days a week 10 until 5:30. We all have full time jobs elsewhere so sometimes this is a challenge.
