Len Light, the inventor, a father with copious mouths to feed, thought he needed a better way of making this staple food. He knew how good fresh yogurt was for you and came up with an ingenious way of producing yogurt perfectly every time you made it. No electricity, No mess, no fuss, No artificial ingredients!
WHY EASIYO
EasiYo was started twelve years ago in the garage of Len and Kathy Light. Now almost half of the homes in the entire country of New Zealand have an EASIYO Yogurt Maker in their kitchens, and a quarter of the yogurt eaten in New Zealand is made at home. Why this apparent sudden popularity in a country which specializes in dairy products and has ready-to-eat yogurt so readily available? The answer is really quite simple! The ready-to-eat yogurt may well be dead by the time it gets to your bowl. The possibility with ready-made yogurt is that no matter how good it is when it is manufactured, by the time it reaches your kitchen, it has progressed through much of its lifecyle. What makes yogurt true yogurt is the live lactic bacteria cultures in it, and like any live entity these cultures have a limited lifetime before they die (measured in days rather than weeks).
