Welcome to our About Us page. As we mentioned before in our mission statement, we are East Texas residents who have been actively involved in researching and gaining knowledge about Bigfoot in the East Texas area. Even though, we have researched Bigfoot independently for several years, it was not until recently that we combined our own ongoing studies, our findings and our minds into one mission with a name, the East Texas Bigfoot Independent Study, the E.T.B.I.S.
It is quite remarkable how we did get together. We met, we compared notes and perhaps the most compelling draw to each other was that we discovered our findings were uncannily similar. Even though we lived and studied in different regions of East Texas, we were able to validate our findings with great excitement. Not only did our research findings correlate but our personal goals for our studies of Bigfoot did as well. We discovered we were seeking the same answers and were committed for the same reasons. Our desire to learn and understand Bigfoot had been a constant and consuming passion. We wanted to share this ongoing education with the people of East Texas. We hope that in education, we may inevitably help preserve a vanishing species. The preservation of this species had been the principle drive of our work and our dedication to this field of study. An uncommonly rare moment it was to find three people who were so connected and were willing to commit their lives for this study; therefore it seemed natural that we would combine our research and enlist the help of our East Texas neighbors to pursue the truth about the Texas Bigfoot. Thus the East Texas Bigfoot Independent Study came to be.
The Study began initially with Crystal Steiniger who wished to reach out to the people of East Texas. She wanted to learn from their encounters with Bigfoot. Even though she had no experience in website building, she created this Website. Her long time friend, L. Phillips, came aboard to help with the text entries. Luke Gross designed the Website. Together they compiled parts of their knowledge and finds to present in this Website. E.T.B.I.S. is a collaboration of an explorer's spirit, curiosity of the unknown, a hunger for knowledge and a passion to preserve.
