Eastwood Emeralds Majorettes
Description
Eastwood Emeralds Majorettes was formed in September 2001. We train once every week at a local school practicing baton twirling, ribbon twirling, pom pom, flag and wheel routines. We have lots of fun practicing to the latest chart music and not forgetting some of the old time songs that never fade away.
Our girls range from 6 years old to adult, sometimes the adults are worse than the kids, thinking that they can flip batons across their backs like they did when they were 12. We do try to add some complicated throws but of course, these days safety must come first.
Karen Owens our founder and troupe leader, trains with the girls weekly with her daughter Faye who also trains the girls and prepares routines etc.
