Ecre.org is a network of organisations promoting protection of refugees
Title
European Council on Refugees and Exiles
Description
European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) is a pan-European network of non-governmental organisations, concerned with the needs of all individuals seeking refuge and protection within Europe. It draws on the energy, ideas and commitment of an active membership and a strong secretariat.
ECRE promotes the protection and integration of refugees based on the values of human dignity, human rights and an ethic of solidarity. International refugee and human rights law are a key reference point for our analysis.
Much of ECRE's legal work is carried out through the European Legal Network on Asylum (ELENA), a network of lawyers who promote the highest human rights standards in the treatment of refugees and asylum seekers.
