- Ed Calle's latest solo recording, In The Zone, released by Union Music Group and distributed via Warner Brothers Records, has been nominated for a 2007 Latin Grammy for Best Instrumental Record. In The Zone is a live, straight-ahead jazz recording featuring Ed's original compositions Mockingbird and Voyager and jazz standards including Joe Zawinul's Young and Fine, John Coltrane's Impressions, Errol Garner's Misty, and Brunislau Kaper's Invitation. The recorded performances feature outstanding collaborations with pianist Jim Gasior, trumpeter Jason Carder, bassist Rafael Valencia, guitarist Lindsey Blair, and drummer Jack Ciano. The recording is now available at your local record store and cyberspace music vendors. In the Zone is also available on iTunes and other Internet on-demand music retailers.
