- The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Egypt) funds the National Book Program as a contract to the Academy for Educational Development (AED). Program funding includes implementation activities of AED and its partners as well as financing the purchase of books and educational materials for Egyptian schools. The USAID contract will also support industry-focused assessment and use-focused training activities that result in increased reading by school children.
