I have been making up stories even before I could write. Of course my mother called them extreme exaggerations from the truth. Every day after kindergarten, I’d go home and tell about the white rabbit in our class. I took things too far. When I told my mom the teacher had given me our class pet, she showed up with a cage only to learn there never had been a white rabbit.
