Karen H. Weber concentrates her practice in the area of elder law with an emphasis on estate and Medicaid planning for nursing home care. Karen also drafts special needs trusts for people with disabilities and helps families establish guardianship when necessary. Ms. Weber is licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri. She is a frequent speaker at community events discussing the topics of elder law and Medicaid planning. Ms. Weber is the co-founder and past-president of the Kansas Chapter of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., and she is the co-author of The Alzheimer’s Legal Survival Guide, a book available by contacting the firm. In 2001, the Kansas Department of Commerce and Housing honored the Weber Law Offices as the Kansas Woman-Owned Professional Service Firm of the Year. In 2002, Ms. Weber was selected as a finalist for the Kansas City Business Ethics Award by the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Karen received both her Juris Doctorate degree and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri. Following law school, Ms. Weber served a term as Law Clerk at the Missouri Court of Appeals. She then entered private practice where she emphasized litigation before focusing exclusively on the practice of elder law.

Ginger D. Pace, Senior Legal Assistant and Office Manager, has over 15 years of legal experience and a diverse background of knowledge in many professional fields. As a Litigation Legal Assistant, Ms. Pace managed the document production of complex matters including personal injury, medical malpractice, and class actions. At the Weber Law Offices, Ms. Pace is responsible for reviewing and revising documents and coordinating the flow of work among staff. She and our clients enjoy their meetings together.

Tina M. Johns, Legal Assistant, joined the firm in January 2001. Her duties include answering the phones, addressing initial client intake calls, scheduling appointments, opening files, drafting estate planning documents, verification of assets, and preparation of Medicaid applications. She is also responsible for our docket control system. Our clients most appreciate her kind heart and caring nature. One of Ms. John's off-the-record responsibilities is to keep our beta fish named "Gonk" healthy and happy. Gonk will soon be celebrating his second birthday.
