The “Incredible Elgin” County / St. Thomas Tourist Region is bordered to the south by Lake Erie offering beaches, conservation areas and recreational facilities for boating, fishing, and camping. The area offers signed birding, hiking & cycling trails. The region is overflowing with art studios/galleries, museums, three wineries, farm markets and even specialty farming. History abounds with heritage buildings and quaint rural villages offer unique shops. Visit one of the oldest wooden lighthouses in Canada or the smallest jail in Canada. Ride restored steam & diesel trains will take you back in time, County-wide murals & first class sport facilities will welcome you to our diverse urban towns and cities
