At Encore Catering, there is more going on than meets the taste buds! Encore employees are graduates of the Community Culinary School of Charlotte (CCSC), a free culinary training program for chronically unemployed or underemployed adults. Proceeds from Encore Catering go to the culinary school to train more adults in the culinary arts.
Elise Barksdale is the Catering Manager of Encore Catering. Elise has worked with preschool through college-age populations in a variety of nonprofit organizations. "The Community Culinary School is the first at-risk adult population with whom I've worked. It is awesome to be a part of the transforming opportunities the program offers."
