ENGINEERED WRITING was founded by Cynthia Fabian Mascone, a technical editor/writer and engineer who, since 1982, has been on the editorial staffs of two magazines serving chemical engineers and the chemical industries. She currently serves part-time as Managing Editor of Chemical Engineering Progress, which is published by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
She has specialized in developing and editing technical articles related to the practice of chemical engineering, on such diverse topics as environmental protection, safety, reactions, separations, heat transfer, business management, and career development, among others. She has extensive experience handling complex technical material, including articles that have numerous elements, such as tables, figures, photos, equations, nomenclature listings, reference citations, sidebars, etc. She has worked closely with authors who are industrial, academic, government, and consulting experts in the U.S. and abroad.
