Our People:
We're a small group of people like you – we want to express ourselves with a minimum of fuss. We've been around since before the net was cool/big/everything, way back in the age of the BBS. We even ran a few boards of our own, though you probably never heard about them. The great communities that flourished back then were connected by geography and shared interests (not just Star Trek). The person you argued with last night might be at the grocery store tomorrow.
Now, the net compresses geography and lets us connect people who care about the same thing, no matter where they are. It's not teleportation, but it's pretty close.
