- The International Society of Ethnobiology (ISE) is committed to achieving greater understandings of the complex relationships that exist within and between human societies and their environments. It seeks to bridge the concerns of ethnobiologists and indigenous peoples, traditional societies, and local communities, particularly in relation to the conservation of biological, cultural and linguistic diversity. The vision of the ISE is reflected in its Code of Ethics. The ISE holds an International Congress of Ethnobiology every two years.
