- The EU has the goal of becoming “the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world” in order to achieve secure employment in conjunction with environmental sustainability. To this end, it is concluded in “MANUFUTURE – a vision for 2020” that concerted effort is needed in order to provide European manufacturing with high quality and easily accessible research, technological development and innovation infrastructures. For this purpose, the EUDEVLAS project offers the synergies which can be obtained at international level with respect to specifically developing countries as foreseen in activity 3.4.5.3: Cooperation with third countries in the field nano-technology of advanced multi-functional materials and new ways of production research.
