The directory is organized by location and by area of practice to make easy for users to find a lawyers in the location of the user and also specialized in the legal issues in which the user need legal advice.

The use of the directory is completely free for everyone, but the information within the site can be considered legal advise of any kind, no client.lawyer relationship should be form only by the use of the information contained in the site. You should always have a personal interview with an attorney before you establish a confidential relationship with him or her, we only provide a comprehensive tool lo help user locate good candidates.

ExpertLawyers.org is a community based open directory, the site does not charge any fee to any member, but not everyone can be accepted, only professional and experienced lawyers get listed. Besides that the only requirement to get listed is to place a link pointing to one of the section of the site in you website or blog, that way we try to increase the traffic and page rank of the site in order to get more traffic and more potential clients for members.

Once a lawyer or law firm is accepted to be a members, each new member get a certain number of invitation, a certain number of points and a profile that will be shown to potential clients. The profile and the points play a key roll to succeed within the community. The profile is the presentation card of the lawyer and all members are able to edit their profiles, having a clear, updated and very informative profile will compel user to contact a member and will increase your points.

The site gives more exposure to the members with more points but every one can increase the number of points by helping other members, inviting other professionals to join the site, adding more links to the site, posting on forums, suggesting new features for the site, writing content, articles, and news, even if they are about your own practice. All new content is welcome.

The site is not a 100% finished yet, but you can already join and have another entry gate for new clients.

Purpose

The title of a web page appears as a clickable link in search results and bookmarks. A descriptive, compelling home page title with relevant keywords can increase the number of people visiting the site.

Search Engines

Search engines view the text of the title tag as a strong indication of what the page is about. Accurate keywords in the title tag can help the page rank better in search results.

Length

A title tag should have fewer than 70 characters, including spaces. Major search engines won't display more than that.

Content

The title tag of your home page (and any other page on your site) should not contain the site’s domain name or URL. These will appear near the title in search results, so use your 70 characters to tell people what the page is about. The title tag should not contain any HTML, because it will be displayed incorrectly or not at all.

Purpose

  • Google’s bot is called Googlebot. Google is the world’s largest search engine, and is where many people discover new websites.
  • Bing’s bot is called msnbot. Bing also provides search results to people using Yahoo to search the Web. Together, Bing and Yahoo are the second largest search resource, after Google.
  • Baidu’s bot is called Baiduspider. Baidu is a major search engine in China, and the number of people using it is increasing rapidly.
  • AboutUs.org’s bot is called AboutUsBot. To create a Site Report, AboutUs uses crawling technology that’s similar to what search engines use.
  • Good: This website’s robots.txt file is not blocking major search engines from crawling its pages. Your website can appear in any engine’s search results.
