About ExtremePlanner
Our primary goal is to help software projects succeed more often through agile project planning. Traditional approaches to software project management have a dismal track record: only 1 in 6 software projects were completed on time and within budget (according to a study by the Standish Group).
We first conceived of ExtremePlanner out of our experiences working on a variety of software projects. From Fortune 500 IT departments to commercial software startups, we've been involved with dozens of projects, both small and large.
One of the frustrations on a software project is the frequent disconnect between what the customer wants and what the development team actually builds. We think this is due fundamentally to the setup of most projects: a long development cycle that doesn't give the business an opportunity to make course corrections.
