The American Eye Center
Description
Established in 1995, the American Eye Center holds the distinction of being the country's premier ophthalmic laser center for the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Managed by the Associated Eye Specialists, the most experienced and longest-running Eye MD group practice in the Philippines, the Center has the largest clinical experience in Southeast Asia with over 20,000 refractive procedures performed.
In November of 2000, the Center expanded its services beyond laser refractive surgery and is now a full-service, world class, diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical eye facility. The center is conveniently located at Level Five of Shangri-la Plaza. It houses a laser suite, two operating rooms, a recovery room, six examining rooms and a spacious reception area. The latest diagnostic equipment can be found for the early detection and monitoring of all eye diseases such as Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy and Cataract.
The Center is equipped with the LADARVision 4000 Excimer Laser System and LADARWave CustomCornea Wavefront System for the laser correction of errors of refraction. It also offers "No-Stitch Cataract Surgery under Eye Drop Anesthesia" using the latest machines, exactly as it is done at leading eye centers all over the world.
