- I became inspired to learn more about fashion design in 2006 after a 3 month stay in São Paulo, Brazil. There I encountered a fashion scene that was fun, ironic and colorful. Upon my return, I discovered that Portland was teaming with young fashion designers. I started to sew and study clothing construction on my own, taking some classes to fill in the gaps. However, it was the community of designers in Portland which offered me the most support. My first line of shirts will be available for sale in Spring 2009.
