Welcome to Fairview. Fairview.org may be your first encounter with us or you may already have a long-standing relationship with us. Either way, fairview.org is an opportunity for you to learn more about Fairview and the many things we do to improve the health of the communities we serve. Community is an important word; it focuses on people living and working together for common goals.
Our communities have many faces: Our patients and potential patients, our physicians, our employees and our partners. Among these groups are people who need medical services, but are unable to pay for those services. Financial consultants work directly with patients who have no insurance or whose financial situations challenge their ability to pay for needed care. We believe that helping patients resolve financial issues early in their treatment allows them to focus on their physical healing and well-being. During 2004, we provided millions of dollars in direct community care and community benefit through activities within our diverse geographic communities.
Fairview is a leader in clinical excellence and innovation. Our partnership with the doctors of University of Minnesota Physicians and the Academic Health Center puts us at the forefront of medical research and innovative patient treatments. Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – for the sickest of our smallest patients – was ranked by the Wharton School of Business as one of the country’s best. The Stroke Center at Fairview Southdale Hospital was named a national stroke center. Our youth grief counseling program at Fairview Ridges Hospital is a model.
