- Writing Christian poetry and short stories has always been a passion of Jean Werth, but she counts her greatest role in life as a mother to three sons. As an Air Force wife of 34 years and moving 17 times, she has learned to be very resourceful. She believes this has enabled her to appreciate the relationships of many people the Lord has brought her way. She has worked closely as a volunteer in the community and the military. She enjoys church activities and has always kept Jesus as the focus of her life. She has held various positions in her church in addition to Public Affairs Chairman on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross in Shreveport, La. She has also been a member of the Air Force Officer’s Wives Club, and the 917th Air Force Reserve Wives. She edited and contributed to the Crisis Response Handbook for Military Commanders of the U.S. Air Force.
