- Madeleine Boucher of Fantasy Enterprises does Fused Glass Pieces. She started studying and creating stained glass in 1977, and in 1984, she began doing the fused glass designs. Most people think Madeleine does "stained glass" and she does, technically. However, there is a great difference between stained glass and fused glass. Stained glass is making an image out of pieces of glass. This is the medium that people are most familiar with. Fused glass is fusing an image onto glass; the piece is then fired in a kiln. Fusing allows her to get a lot of detail in a smaller area than she could with a stained glass piece (you will also find many stained glass pieces in her "inventory", however, and many pieces which are a combination of both mediums).
